During the Clarion years the push to drive the OEM car audio business turned out to be an exercise that would be wrapped up in deals with Harley Davidson, Ford GT, and Subaru. Charlie Randall became President of McIntosh in 2001.

Ultimately D&M Holdings, Inc. would acquire McIntosh Laboratory, Inc. in ‘03. Ambitious projects are already in the mix as seen at CES in Las Vegas in ‘05 with the unveiling of McIntosh’s Reference System that includes MC2KW 2,000 watt mono block amps, XRT2K speaker capable of handling 6,000 watts peak, C1000 tri-Chassis amp, MCD1000 CD Transport and the MDA1000 D/A Converter.

McIntosh launched the new Video category and now offers a solution to home theater with the release of the MDLP1 Projector.

The MT10 Turntable launches the end of 2007, the first turntable from McIntosh.
