MDA1000
D/A Converter

A superior, multi-input D/A converter, the MDA1000 features an advanced, balanced/parallel design for unsurpassed clarity. Seven digital inputs insure compatibility with a wide range of digital components. The correct sampling frequency, from 32 to 96 kHz, is selected automatically for uniformly excellent sound from all digital sources.

Outstanding channel separation of better than 100dB (1 kHz) provides pinpoint imaging. Standard compact discs are upsampled to 24 bit/768kHz resolution through the use of an ingenious balanced/parallel topology that employs no less than eight 24 bit digital to analog converters. Awarded one of Stereophile Magazine's Recommended Components for 2005 and 2006, as well as Secrets of HT and HiFi Best of 2005, the MDA1000 not only sets the standards, it raises them.

MDA1000 D/A Converter Features

POWER SUPPLY

Multiple layers of regulation provide clean power to all critical circuits. The power transformer has the lowest noise field of any available.

CIRCUIT SHIELDS

Each D to A Converter is shielded to avoid any chance of hum or noise getting through.

VOLUME CONTROL

Precision front panel and remote volume control allow the MDA1000 to function as a preamplifier in an all-digital system. Setup programming allows volume control bypass if desired.

FRONT PANEL DESIGN

3D front panel glass design is illuminated with long-life, cool-running fiber optics

that make operation in low light easier. Silk screening on the inside of the glass

front panel prevents wear of the nomenclature, ensuring lasting beauty and highest resale value…a McIntosh hallmark feature.
