McIntosh MB50 and RS100 Receive Works With Alexa Certification

McIntosh is happy to announce that its DTS Play-Fi® equipped products, the MB50 Streaming Audio Player and RS100 Wireless Speaker, have received Works With Alexa certification from Amazon.

With this certification, customers will be able to control audio playback on their MB50 or RS100 from another room using a third party Alexa Built-in Product (sold separately). This functionality allows users to verbally ask Alexa to play a song in a specific room, groups of rooms or the whole house, adjust volume, skip the track forward, mute, pause and stop the music.

Play-Fi technology gives customers the freedom and flexibility to wirelessly play their music at home anyway they want over their existing Wi-Fi network. While utilizing DTS Play-Fi streaming capabilities, the MB50 and RS100 deliver the legendary McIntosh sound quality and performance found in our other home audio products.

To use the MB50 and RS100 with Alexa, customers should make sure their Play-Fi apps are up to date. The MB50, RS100 and Alexa Built-In Product must all be on the same network. See the DTS Play-Fi website for more info on setting up Alexa.
