McINTOSH MT5 "A TRULY CAPABLE HIGH-END TURNTABLE"

Engineered to exacting McIntosh standards, the MT5 precision turntable is a complete turntable package that is more than the sum of its parts. Its illuminated, magnetically suspended platter is sure to be a conversation starter.

What Hi Fi spent some time with it and call it "a truly capable high-end turntable that stands up to any class rival." It's "beautifully made" and so "nicely engineered" that the platter spins with such precision and accuracy that it "makes it hard to tell whether it’s spinning or not." Listening to Bruce Springsteen's Born to Run, the MT5 had "a fast and agile sound, one that picks up quite a lot of detail." With Miles Davis's Kind of Blue, the MT5 sounded "surefooted, delivering shifts in dynamic intensity with confidence" while "changes in pace are conveyed with skill" allowing the album’s "complex rhythm flow [to] come through with clarity."
